The Holland-America Line cruise ship Rotterdam anchored off Gozo in the Comino Channel, enabling more than 1,000 of its passengers to go on excursions around the sister island.
The ship was the largest ever to drop anchor near Gozo, dwarfing the Gozo ferries and other craft around it.
Several tours were operated giving the cruise passengers a taste of Gozo by coach and also by 4 x 4’s. Some passengers also enjoyed a yacht tour to the Blue Lagoon and nearby creeks.
